Datel were proud to provide the Vale of Galmorgan with a new structured cabling network that would connect their students to relevant learning resources, remotely or in school.

Project Background
The Vale of Glamorgan is committed to developing better connectivity to learning resources for their students. The project was approved and would see the overhaul and of all structured network cables in 53 of their schools.
This project ensures that every student has access to high-quality learning resources from both home and school.

Project Scope
Scope of works included both newly built and Victorian built schools, across a 130 square mile area.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council commissioned a project to replace all Structured Cabling Networks throughout the 53 Schools they look after in the Vale, using CommScope Cat 6. A combined 3,978 Cables were installed, alongside the installation of an array of containment solutions. Multiple schools required OM4 CommScope fibre optic links through out there site wide campus.

Vision for the Project
The purpose of the project was to enhance all Structured Cabling Networks to allow for better connectivity for the school children of the Vale of Glamorgan, whether learning from the classroom or from home.
